This Thursday, November 22, the 25th UniLaSalle Ovalies unveiled their sponsor for this new edition which will take place on May 10 and 11, 2018.

As every year for 25 years now, the Ovalies association, a rugby tournament organized by UniLaSalle engineering students, is sponsored by a key figure in the world of French rugby. Several big names have had the opportunity to join this event, such as Christophe DOMINICI, Sébastien CHABAL or Imanol HARINORDOQUY last year alongside Michaël JEREMIASZ (former disabled tennis world champion).

For their quarter of a century, the Ovalies are accompanied by a champion with multiple victories: Vincent CLERC.


A winger familiar with the Toulouse workforce, he won 3 TOP 14 titles alongside them in 2008, 2011 and 2012 and three European Cups in 2003, 2005 and 2010.

On the international level, he has 67 selections for the French team with, to his credit, the victory of 3 6 Nations tournaments in 2004, 2007 and 2010 and 3 European Cups, in particular by achieving the Grand Slam in 2004 and 2010. Vincent CLERC is also the record holder for the number of tries scored in the TOP 14 with 101 achievements.

In April 2017, Vincent CLERC decided to end his professional career declaring “want to live new experiences” (La Dépêche). His professional experience, his many victories and his desire for discovery are an asset to make these 25th Ovalies a key passage in the history of the association.

On November 10, 2018, Vincent CLERC officially declared: The whole team is now proud of be part of his “new experiences”.
