For its 25th anniversary, the Ovalies association has decided to support four associations by donating all the profits collected during the 2 days of the tournament on May 10 & 11 in Beauvais. What are these beneficiary associations? What are their projects thanks to the donations from the Ovalies?
The Ovalies are above all a tournament with a humanitarian goal. After having supported “Action against Hunger” during the first five editions, the Ovalies have decided to benefit several associations which all have different projects.
The associations supported this year work to improve the lives of children at different levels.
In order to help children with developmental problems and their loved ones, the Ovalies support the On TED Autrement association located near Lille.
Keep smiling and morale in the face of illness? This is the fight of the association Un Maillot pour la Vie, which supports sick children and their families by improving their daily hospital life and by financing sports stays. This national association is supported by 7,000 top athletes including Imanol Harinordoquy.
Using sport as a driving force in life is the project of the creators of the association Les enfants de l’Ovale, which helps more than 1,400 children from all over the world each year. The practice of rugby allows these young people to be integrated into educational projects giving them self-confidence and instilling in them the human values specific to rugby.
Finally, the Ovalies support the Maison Ronald McDonalds in Toulouse, which is part of the association Dessine moi une maison. The latter offers an alternative place for children and parents near the places of hospitalization. The Toulouse house has been supported since 2005 by Vincent Clerc, sponsor of this 25th edition.
All the associations will be present during the Ovalies on May 10 and 11, 2019 at the Stade Marcel Communeau in Beauvais (60). In September 2019, all the donations collected during this event will be given to the 4 associations. Feedback on the actions carried out thanks to donations will be available on our website: https://ovalies-unilasalle.com/.
